The Cougar Call

Karla Charqueno
Karla Charqueno is a senior at Ada High School and is a recurring staff writer for the newspaper. Charqueno was excited and eager to join journalism her sophomore year, and though she took a gap year for her junior year, the passion to write for the school newspaper has not wavered.

Charqueno has won 1st place for the category of Online Opinion Column, 2nd place in online page presentation, and 3rd place in Online In-Depth Reporting at the 102nd annual State publications Competitions.
