What’s in store for 2016

With 2015 coming to a close in a couple of months, it’s time to look towards the future: more specifically, 2016. With our rapid technological advances in past few years, things thought to be imaginary have become reality. The next year will be filled with exciting new possibilities.

Movie fans, here’s a list of several movies planned for release next year:

Finding Dory, directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder

Alice Through the Looking Glass, directed by James Bobin

Doctor Strange, directed by Scott Derrickson

X-Men: Apocalypse, directed by Bryan Singer

2016 also brings us many astronomical events, such as solar eclipses, meteor showers , etc. For more information on specific dates and other events, check out Sea Sky.

2016 is also a leap year, bringing the total days to 366.

Breakthrough inventions are coming next year as well, including Google’s Project Ara, a smartphone that allows you to swap things like the battery and camera. It’s aimed towards making replacements cheaper and affordable, instead of buying an entirely new phone. Breaking the screen wouldn’t be as much of a problem, since it could be swapped out for a new one.

Intel is also planning to release Rezence, a wireless charger that uses magnetic resonance to charge multiple devices at once. The company hopes to make it widely accessible in public by next year.

2016 promises many wonderful things, so make sure to look forward to it. The future is going to feature many technological changes, so things will be very different next year.
