Clubs of Ada High

F.C.A. is known as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, but that isn’t what it is really about. They meet on every Monday at lunch and they typically serve lunch to everyone, they will also be having a speaker come in every once in awhile.  I think the name of it should be changed because were not just wanting athletes, we are wanting any Christians that would like to come visit, and fellowship with other Christians. They meet in the vocal room down by the band room.

National Honor Society: Four main purposes have guided chapters of NHS from the beginning: “To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.” (from the NHS Constitution) These purposes also translate into the criteria used for membership selection in each local chapter. Ada High School is an official chapter member of the National Honor Society. Our mission is to recognize students that illustrate an outstanding academic record. The requirement for membership is a cumulative grade point average of 3.85 (weighted) or higher. Meetings are once a month on the first Friday of the month and consist of lunch, officers presentation of agendas and upcoming events. To be considered a “member” eligible students must pay dues and attend at least two meetings a year. In addition to meetings and academics, National Honor Society members are also involved with community service activities and have extra scholarship opportunities that are provided online at the National Honor Society website, www.nhs.us.
