Welcome back Ada High!
Welcome back Ada High! With many new students and swooping changes, this year has started out with a giant bang.
Some of the changes include:
- Twelve new teachers
- Hall pass needed
- B.O.B (One binder for all classes)
- Agendas
- Dress code
- Cell phones
- Renovations (Parking lot, track, roof , and bathrooms)
Our new variety of teachers come from many different backgrounds. Some are straight from college, other schools, and others from previous, outside the school system, jobs. The new teachers are:
- Duke Atterberry/ Athletics
- Megan Cooper/ English, Avid
- Megan Davenport/ Science
- Stephanie Duncan/ Mathematics
- Delinda Garret/ TBD
- Justin Holman/ Mathematics
- Mart Leming/ Geography, Athletics
- Alyssa Rhoads/ English, Cheerleading
- Ali Siweckyj/ Science
- Wade Standley/ Coach
- Ali Lawson/ Counselor
- Autumn Yoder/ Health Corps
The B.O.B is a single binder that holds all class assignments and will have random checks by teachers.
An agenda was given to each student, in case of their loss, new ones will be issued for $5.00 at the front office.
The hall pass sheet is needed to get out of class, if they don’t have it, students can’t leave class, if filled another will be issued by Eddie Jacobs, Vice Principal. NOTE: Must also have an agenda, it is used as the hall pass.
The dress code policy is on page 33 in the agenda and must be followed by all students.
Cell phone policy is on page 31 in the agenda, class cell phone use is under the authority of the teachers, all students must follow classroom rules.
There are school renovations happening this year on the bathrooms, roof, parking lot and the track.
With all the changes at Ada High this year foreshadow a bright future for the students. With opportunities for all it’s student’s to further their learning experiences.
