These are just a few quick pics of what the Marching Band has been doing all summer long. From 7am to 4:30 pm, these kids have worked HARD. The Ada High Band is doing better this year than they ever have. Not only have they been practicing and rehearsing since July, they are playing 6a music, even though they were classified as 4a. The Ada Band gets only occasional recognition from school students, but they play an important role in almost all of our school activities. What would a football game be without music? The Band program is run by director Eric Hall, who is creating a current masterpiece out of their show music titled ” Night and Day.” The Ada High Band competes in competitions such as OBA, OSSAA, Tigerpalooza, and many more. The Band also bought new uniforms this year. Which was quite a risk considering today’s economy. But all the kids, Mr. Hall, and Mr. Golightly know that it is worth it. The Band’s first official performance is this Friday, September 6th @ the Ada VS Ardmore home football game. Make sure to come out and support our Band!
