A new month at Ada High also brings forth a new Student of the Month. The August Student of the Month is Paul Harris.
Harris, a Junior at Ada High, was nominated by Mrs. Palmer, performing arts teacher.
“Paul always comes to class prepared to work. He gives 100% all the time. Paul is creative, enthusiastic, and dependable. Very deserving of the nomination,” said Palmer.
Harris was awarded a certificate and a 15 dollar iTunes card for being selected.
“Being student of the month feels very exciting and unexpected!”, said Harris. “I don’t receive a lot of awards so this came as a pleasant surprise!”
Motivation is an important part of the day. The atmosphere of Ada High and from his friends is what motivates Harris to get through the day.
“I am a percussionist in band, an actor in performing arts, and an eagle seat in troop 4. I also enjoy talking good pun every now and then,” said Harris.
According to Harris, a good student doesn’t necessarily strive to be better than other, but try your hardest and encourage others to do the same.
