Student Of The Month
September’s student of the month is Brianna Renee Willis. She was nominated by her Spanish teacher, Mrs. Creed. As Mrs. Creed said, “she was struggling in the class, and instead of giving up, she buckled down and started working much harder.”
When asked what she felt the qualities of being a good student are she said, “to turn your work in on time and be there on time”.
Brianna is 16, has two brothers and two sisters, and she manages to keep her grades up while managing a hectic softball schedule. When she was asked if she was proud for being the student of the month she enthusiastically said, “YES! because it makes me feel good about myself.”
Her motivation is softball. “Honestly, softball gives me motivation to keep trying because you can’t play if you have bad grades. You should strive for your best.”
One of her favorite quotes is by John Wooden; ” You can’t let praise or criticism get to you. It’s a weakness to get caught up in either.”
