Another Year On The Roll
Welcome back Ada High students! While you’re probably too busy catching up with old friends and getting back into the school schedule to notice, there have been a few changes and announcements to take note of in all of the back to school madness. We have a new principal, Mr. Maloy, and a new Vice-principal, Mr. Jacobs.
As if a new principal wasn’t enough change for the upcoming school year, we also have a new look for the face of the school. Gold letters, instead of silver for the title and a maroon wall instead of the old white wall to background the glowing, gold letters.
Some announcements to keep in mind this school year:
BPA meetings are the !st Thursday of every month
The Ada Adult Learning Center is now offering classes to adults who may need their High School Equivalency Diplomas (commonly referred to as GED’s) and also for adults looking to raise their skill levels to return to higher education or the job market.
Literacy at Lunch, AHS’s student book club, will meet Mondays during lunch, in the library. Sign-up in the library.
There will be a pep rally on Friday, September 5th during 5th hour.
There are headphones for sale in the library for $2.
Ms. Merchant’s Kickboxing class starts Wednesday, September 3rd in the ACAC. See Ms. Merchant for more information.
