Ada High’s own Aaliyah Blakley has been selected for the honor of Oklahoma Girl’s Basketball Coach’s Association All-State.  Aaliyah was selected based on stats and performance at tryouts.

Aaliyah had to preform at multiple rounds of try-outs.  The first round of try-outs were held at Ada on Thursday, March 25.  Aaliyah made the all region team by making it through the first round.  The 2nd round was held March 27th at the Fort Gibson Gym resulting in Aaliyah’s selection for the OGBCA All-STate Team.

AHS Girl’s Basketball Coach, Christie Jennings, had this to say regarding the selction: “Aaliyah has been a great team player for this basketball program her entire career. She is a hard worker with a great attitude. She has scored 1405 points in her career which places her 2nd in all scoring in the 5 on 5 era at Ada. She would be the first to tell you that this award wouldn’t be possible without her teammates. She is very deserving of this honor.”

Both Aaliyah and the entire AHS Girl’s Basketball team would like to thank everyone for their support this season.
