Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, both presidential candidates for this year, have expressed their views on many controversial topics throughout the duration of their campaigns. Their parties, Republican and Democratic respectively, have been at odds for over a century, and they fight for the presidency once again.

On the topic of Immigration:

Trump aims to “begin working on an impenetrable physical wall on the southern border, on day one.” His strategy for carrying out illegal immigrants involves, and is not limited to, detaining illegal border crossing immigrants and ending sanctuary cities. He also wants the assurance that available jobs are first offered to American workers.

Clinton aims to pass a comprehensive immigration reform, providing illegal immigrants with the option of citizenship. She seeks to end family detention, and supports the expansion of English language education. She plans to create an Office of Immigrant Affairs that assists with immigrant application into American society.

On the topic of Health Care:

Trump aims to replace Obamacare with the Health Savings Account, “a tax-advantaged medical savings account you can contribute to and draw money from for certain medical expenses tax-free.” He wants to create a system with Congress that encourages availability and quality for patients, and to allow local positions to create their own medical programs to help their citizens who usually cannot afford them.

Clinton aims to “fight for health insurance for the lowest-income Americans in every state by incentivizing states to expand Medicaid.” She also would like to increase the funding for community health centers, and spread health care access to both immigrants and those living in rural areas.

On the topic of Guns:

Trump aims to defend the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms, and elect Supreme Court justices that will protect it as well. He wants to fix the current background checks on gun ownership, but supports the defense of honest gun-owners.

Clinton aims to expand and strengthen background checks. She wants to ensure that guns don’t fall into the hands of the wrong people; her plan includes keeping guns designed for the military away from public locations.

On the topic of Economy:

Trump aims to foster yearly economic growth through the improvement of plans and create millions of jobs.

Clinton aims to promote higher minimum wage and modernize dated laws to fit current working conditions.

On the topic of Education:

Trump aims to invest more federal money into school choice, or the option provided for students to select the type of education they would like to receive, and provide education to poverty-stricken children. He wants to secure colleges’ reduction in fees through exchange, and make college education easier for potential students.

Clinton aims to establish debt-free college education, and also assist in the increase of the teaching profession. She wants to spread the option of learning computer science so that graduates can fill in jobs that involve it.
