Mr. Ada Results Are In!!
It was a very tough and frivolous competition, but in the end there was only one winner and a runner up!
The first contestant Jacob Reed represented Student Council, and for his talent, performed a lyrical dance to “Under The Sea” with his escort Jordan Rogers. Casey Mankin was representing Golf and played a superb piece on the piano called “Payphone”. The amusing William Lane Speed represented Math Club with stand up comedy being his talent in the competition. Afterwards, Hunter Ross supported Band and his talent being linen folding which was very instructive to the audience. Trey Shofner represented BPA with his popular performance “Toast”. Representing the Wrestling program Danny Lamb displayed his dance routine to Ada High’s fight song in cougann attire. Austin Pettigrew represented National Honor Society and for his memorable talent he sang “The Touch”. Next was Steven John Michael Davidson singing an original song he wrote called “I.S.” while playing the guitar. Austin Johnson represented DECA with his effervescent dancing to “Don’t Drop That Thun Thun”. Representing Science Club was Avery Stevens and for his talent he sang a very touching song called, “Mother”, and played the piano as well. Lastly, Halen Scott Ogles represented CNN while he and a few friends mimicked the singers of “The Fox” while lip singing and dancing on stage in costume. All of the performances of the night seemed to be spectacular crowd pleasers, every one in the audience seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Concluding the competition there were three awards to be given. The first was for the crowd favorite which went to Casey Mankin. The second award went to the first runner up for Mr. Ada and Danny Lamb received it. Finally, the winner of the 2013-2014 Mr. Ada competition went to Casey Mankin as well! Congrats to all of the contestants on their great performances!
