Halloween Treats
Looking for easy and fast Halloween or Fall treats? Pumpkin cupcakes and Candy corn sugar cookies are two great Halloween and Fall treats that are simple to make.
Pumpkin cupcakes
Ingredients:
- One box white cake mix
- One 15 oz. can of Pumpkin Puree
- ½ TSP. Pumpkin Pie Spice
- ½ TSP. Cinnamon
- 1 TSP. Vanilla Extract
- Cupcake Tons
- Orange Icing
- 1 bag of Candy corn
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Pour cake mix into large bowl
- Add oil, water, and eggs to the cake mix (follow cake mix instructions)
- Mix batter on low speed till well blended
- Add pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, pumpkin spice and cinnamon. Blend all together till well blended
- Line cupcake/muffin pan with cupcake liners
- Evenly spoon batter equal amounts’ of batter in each liner. This should make approximately 24 cupcakes
- Place in oven check bake time on the cake mix box
- Let cool completely
- Once cooled, spread orange icing on cupcakes
- Add the pumpkin candy corn to the center of the cupcakes
Candy corn sugar cookies
Ingredients:
- One package of sugar cookie mix
- Butter
- Egg
- Candy corn
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Melt butter in a small bowl
- Add sugar cookie mix and melted butter and egg to a large bowl
- Blend all together till well blended
- Spray cookie sheet with any non-stick spray
- Make the cookies about 1 to 1 ½ inches wide
- Place cookies about 2 inches apart in the oven. Refer to cookie mix package for backing time
- Once done baking, place candy corn on the sugar cookies in random order
- Let cool completely
