“All my life I have been very opinionated and open about who I am. When I believe in something, I am very passionate about it. Something that has been a topic of discussion for some people is my body hair. A lot of people think it’s really cool that I’m so “brave” and not afraid to be who I am. A lot of other people think it’s disgusting and shame me for doing a normal thing. It’s really confusing. But other people’s opinions don’t matter to me, whether it’s good or bad. Sure, I love compliments but those people’s thoughts on me don’t actually matter. I think what matters is that I love myself and I am not afraid to be myself and do things that are “out of the ordinary”. My body hair empowers me, it makes me more confident. I feel so beautiful when I look in the mirror. All of my confidence doesn’t come from my hair of course, but it’s a reminder that I am beautiful for who I am.  ” -Rachel Thompson
