AHS boy’s golf team following their 3rd place victory at the Jimmie Austin tournament.

Ada’s Golf team has had a great start to the season as the boys came in 2nd place and the girls came in 3rd place at Jimmie Austin in Seminole.  Ada has had a good history in Golf, and the team has shown that they intend to continue this tradition.  The boys also placed individually with Tim Simpson and Sam Brown both placing 10th.  As for the girls, Taylor Durr placed 10th individually.

The boys team consists of Ben Pruitt(sophomore), Sam Brown(sophomore), Jacob Thorley(sophomore), Ross Kemp(junior), and Tim Simpson(senior).

The girls team consists of Hannah Prince(freshman), Taylor Durr(sophomore), Meredith McGill(sophomore), Kendal Wilson(junior), and Rhyley Hagar(senior).

When Sam was asked how he felt the season was going to go, he responded, “I feel pretty good. We are still a very young team, I think we have the talent and will power to win a championship.”

When asked how she felt the season was going so far, Durr stated, “It’s going alright. We can qualify for regionals and go to state.”

With these inspiring words, the golf season is already off to great start.  Continue to support the Cougar golfers as they continue the season.
