Let’s Blue Out Diabetes

Lets+Blue+Out+Diabetes

Friday, January 16th, Ada High’s Varsity boys and girls played Duncan at home at 8:00pm.

Wearing blue to the game on Friday was a great opportunity to show support for diabetes awareness.

Coach Anderson said, “Blue-out is important to me personally because my father was diagnosed with diabetes late in his life. Diabetes most likely played a role in his heart condition leading to his death at a the young age of 54. My best friend has had diabetes all of his life. I learned a lot about the treatment and the symptoms because of him.”

The girls score was  62-39 and the boys score was 60-46. They did a great job in beating the Duncan Demons!

The varsity team plays Durant on January 20th, girls play at 6:30 and boys play at 8:00. On January 22-24 The varsity boys and girls will play in the Newcastle Tournament.

Coach Jennings, the girls basketball coach, said, ” We have a lot of tough games ahead of us. The Newcastle tournament is loaded with talent. The most difficult regular season game coming up is Harrah. They are a veteran club who can really score.”

The Durant lions will face the Ada cougars in a sprawl that will leave only one winner leading them into the Newcastle tournament. Hopefully the Ada Cougars will end the basketball season with the state trophy!
