Last Saturday the Ada high Cross Country team ,both boys and girls, traveled to Norman for regionals. It was a very rainy and cold day but our runners still managed to pull through, The boys team placed 12th and the girls placed 6th. Grace Pottebaum got 3rd place over all and ran a 12:41, Taylor Hodges, Savannah Cloar, Kate Pottebaum, and Charlie Walker soon followed after, resulting in the girls team to make top 10 and advancing to state. Giovanni Gutierrez came in 6th as an individual and ran an 18:40, resulting in him making state.

We interviewed some of the runners and asked how they were feeling about the upcoming race: Giovanni Gutierrez, “Real excited! I feel under prepared, but I’m working on it.” Grace Pottebaum, “I’m really excited but also a little nervous, I hope I do well.” Kate Pottebaum, “I’m excited to be able to go and rep our school!” Isabel Gutierrez ” Its such a blessing. I’m extremely nervous and excited but will do whatever I can to come out on top.” Coach Daniels “Excited!”

The team will be traveling to Edmond this coming Saturday for state, Girls run at 2 and boys at 3, come and support your fellow Cougs!
