Ada Cougars Lassoed the Lions
The Ada Cougars pull out the win against the Durant Lions last Friday. The game was a nail biter to say the least, but the Cougs brought home the W. Junior #4, Tryce Prince, scored the first touchdown of the night. Durant started pulling from the Cougars with two touchdowns in a row, but Junior #3, Cory Kilby, scored the second touchdown making the score 14 to 14 in the second. The Lions scored two touchdowns at the end of the first half and at the start of the second half, but the cougars refused to give up. Prince came back with another touchdown making it 28 to 20, Durant. Following Prince’s touchdown, the Lions scored once again bringing the score to 35 to 20. Senior #6, Jeremiah Larry, gave the Cougs another touchdown with 4:46 left in the third. Soon after the Cougar’s touchdown Junior #44, Garrett Beam, got a sack causing an interception to Kilby. Sophomore #43, Todd Pennick, kicked a field goal brining the score to 35 to 29. With one minute and 45 seconds, Larry scored the game winning touchdown with the final score ending at 36 to 35.
