DYI Ornaments
Last year around this time I took a trip with Ada High School DECA to New York City, New York. When we were not attending any of the scheduled events or programs, we had free time to roam the Big Apple! My mom and I went to Central Park; they had a lot of little shops and some had pretty ornaments. I decided for my mother’s Christmas gift, that I would recreate this ornament.
Supplies needed in order to get adorable ornaments:
- Ornaments
- Paint Brushes
- Paint
- Paper Plate
- Ribbon
Step one:
You will need to find some blank ornaments, I went to Walmart and got these for $4.99 with tax, ribbon, and paint (yes, I do own a lot)
Step two:
Study the idea you are attempting very carefully, then start with the bottom half.
Step three:
You start to paint the buildings and words on the ornament. Shortly after you will come to the realization that yours and mine and theirs will not all be the same as mine or the original.
Step Four:
Add snow on the ornament.
Step Five:
Add ribbon to the ornament.
Step Six:
Put the finished product on your tree.
