A New Parking Lot?
Bumpy, rugged, and dangerous are all used by students to describe the Ada High School parking lot. There are numerous pot holes, deteriorated speed bumps and even random chunks of asphalt found in both the upper class men and lower class men lots.
Many teachers and students fear the parking lot because of the history of wrecks. Kayden Hardcastle, voiced his opinion on the matter. “Inexperienced drivers and a significantly damaged parking lot are not a good combination” he stated. Needless to say, Ada High’s parking lot is in desperate need of some renovations.
Ms. Merchant, Ada High’s Health Corp coordinator, and a team of students plan to take on the parking lot. They are to speak with Mr. Maloy, the principal of AHS sometime this week to get some information on the parking lot such as: how long has it been since the lot has had some touch ups? and about how many accidents per year occur in the AHS parking lot?
Mr. Maloy isn’t the only person they plan to speak with. Ms. Merchant and students hope to speak with some City of Ada officials about costs and to get a time frame to see if the project should be started during this summer vacation.
Attached below are pictures of the various conditions of the lot.
