School Bond Passes

This week, the people of Ada voted to grant permission to issue  $16.70 million in bonds for improvements. Most of the money is allocted to build safe rooms and to have extra security at the campus entrances.  Some money will even go to purchase new buses. What’s left of the money will be used to cover the debt on the bonds.

“Ada City Schools patrons will pay an additional 78 cents for every $100 of property taxes they paid in 2013.  The total annual increase would equal $9.38 for every $100 in taxes. The district would have 12 years to pay off the bonds.”
