Icy Leap of Faith

Ada High will be joining the Ada Police Department and entering Polar Plunge. Polar Plunge is a fundraising challenge to an individual or group, challenging them to dive into cold water in order to raise money for the Special Olympics. Each participant collects pledges from family members, friends, and businesses in order to raise lots of money for Special Olympics.

The Polar Plunge is coordinated by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is an international charity made up of law enforcement personnel who raise money and awareness for Special Olympics.

This year the Polar Plunge is offering custom bow ties, in addition to two days of cool events and a great list of incentives. To get the custom bow tie you must join Polar Plunges Winter fest Feb. 6th and 7th.

Incentive Levels:

  • $250: Choice of a travel mug, backpack, or beanie
  • $500: Choice of a towel, throw blanket, or hoodie
  • $1,000: Choice of a jacket or iPod shuffle

The Ada Police Department has joined with the Ada Fire Department, Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office, Pauls Valley Police Department, Light Horse Police Department and many of the local schools in the area.

Sponsor Levels:

  • Corporate Sponsor: $2,500. The sponsor’s logo will be placed on the back of the Polar Plunge shirts, which will be worn state wide.
  • Platinum Sponsor: $1,000. The sponsor will have a large banner with their logo.
  • Gold Sponsor: $500. The sponsor will share a large banner with three or four other gold sponsors.
  • Silver Sponsor: $250. The sponsors name will be in bold print and will share a banner with other Silver sponsors.
  • Bronze Sponsor: $150. The sponsors name will be in regular print and will share a banner with other Bronze sponsors. These banners will be displayed at the Fun Country Polar Plunge as well as local and state sponsored Special Olympics activities.
