Ada High Cross Country
The Ada High Cross Country teams had their first scheduled meet of the year on Sept. 8, at Putnam City, or at least they both tried. During the meet, the girls’ team was able to compete and receive medals. However, the boys’ cross country meet was canceled that day due to lightning.

The second meet this year was on Sept. 10 at The Pontotoc Techonolgy Center in Ada. Ada’s team managed to place 6th at this meet.
Savannah Cloar commented, ” I have no idea how many people there were, just… lots.”
The boys’ team was actually able to compete in this meet, but did not have any medalists. There was over 135 runners there at the technology center.

Boys’ team member Nathan Fountain has expressed concern for the future of the boys’ team considering the low turnout this year. ” We just need more cross country boys.”
