The Cougars tipped off on January 7th, 2014 against the Tecumseh Savages. The boys struggled against the Savages at first but came home with the win! At the end of the first quarter the Cougs trailed the Savages by two points, 13 to 11. By halftime Ada was leading the Savages 27 to 21. They came back with some fire in them, and secured a lead against Tecumseh, 43 to 38. The Cougs came up victorious by the final buzzer and beat Tecumseh 55 to 49. Junior number 13, Cory Kilby, was the leading score for the team with 24 points. Senior number 22, Walker Whitworth, added 16 more points to Ada’s score. Senior number 21, David Forbes, finished the night with 7 points. Then junior number 10, Jermaine Lawson, added 3 points and Junior number 11, Jamal Henderson, added 5 points to the Cougars’ final score. Great win Cougs! Make sure to come out and support Ada High’s next basketball game this Thursday. The girls game starts at 7:00 and the boys game starts at 8:30!
