On Saturday, December 14th, the raining 5A kick champions, the Ada High Couganns competed at the OSDTDA state dance team competition in hope of bringing home a ninth state title. This has become a tradition as the Couganns have secured 8 consecutive state titles. With five returning members and seven new members, the Couganns did a kick routine titled “Hooked on a Can-Can” choreographed by Rachel Benham Hendricks .

The practices for state started in July. They had to be in great shape to make this rigorous routine possible. “It took many hours and months to get ready,” says member Camryn Horne. “Hard work and determination were key.” All the hard work and preparation paid off because once again the Couganns were victorious and brought home a ninth state title. They can’t wait for and look forward to next year.
