The world has changed in so many ways over the past 50 years. Technology has, in my opinion,  had one of the biggest effects on society and the world. In 1954, the first robot was invented by George Devol. Robots’ artificial intellegence, or AI,  allows them to do and act like humans in a lot of ways. They are able to use machines to mass produce products and do things faster and cheaper than humans. There are a lot of spectators that fear technology may eventually leave humans without a purpose or a job. The internet seems like a no brainer, but it is the world’s largest and most unruly library.  It’s also a global news channel, social club, research archive, shopping service, town hall, and multimedia kiosk.  The internet is most affordable mass medium ever and a curse to anyone with a secret to keep.  Three-fifths of Americans now use the Net, but it remains to be seen whether the connections to one another will transform us or prove that we’ll never change. Everything we do in life almost always revolves around technology of some sort. Im sure when you walk into almost any public place it’s nearly impossible to not see someone on their cell phone or tablet or ipad. Society is becoming more and more dependent on technology, but have we gone to far?
