Q: Where are you from and where did you go to school?
A: I am from Ada and I went to Ada High School and East Central University.
Q:How did you get into education and how long have you been in education?
A: I have been in education for 31/2 years and I got into education because I really like science and I wanted to inspire all my kids to understand the importance of science.
Q: What classes do you teach?
A: I teach regular biology and pre-AP biology and environmental science.
Q: What’s your favorite part of the job and why?
A: My favorite part of the job, is interacting with my 100 plus kids because there is never a dull moment.
Q: Why did you come to Ada High and how do you feel about it so far?
A: I always dreamt of teaching in this school, because it was my school. I recently moved back to Ada and this was my first and only option that I wanted.
Q: What’s your favorite animal and why?
A: an orca because they’re so majestic and unworldly.
Q: Why did you want to be a teacher?
A: I wanted to help inspire students and have them understand the importance of having an education
Q: Is teaching what you though it would be? How so?
A: Pretty much, obviously there is a lot of grading and stuff going on but we have fun. I like the relationships I built while teaching.
Q: What did you want to be when you were little?
A: A forensic scientist
Q: Is being a teacher worth it?
A: Absolutely
