Happy National Hot Tea Month!
A chilly winter day is the perfect time to relax with a nice hot cup of tea. It won’t just warm you up, though. Various types of tea also have various health benefits, and there are so many kinds to choose from!
Passionflower tea: anti-anxiety benefits (has a calming effect on your mind)
Oolong tea: funny name, but helps your metabolism!
Yerba Mate tea: has antioxidants and vitamins, is a “craving-killer,” and increases your energy
White tea: helps to prevent fat cell formation, wrinkles, and some cancers
Black tea: bad breath? clean it up with black tea and it’ prevention of plague build up (that leads to bad breath).
Ginger tea: headache from studying? try some ginger tea (works about as fast as an aspirin would!)
Green tea: helps you feel full, can aid in cancer and dementia prevention
Licorice Root tea: did you know that licorice root is an herb that is sweeter than sugar? if you’re craving something sweet, try a cup of licorice root tea!
Nettle tea: good for allergy symptom relief
Peppermint tea: gotta go but can’t? drink some peppermint tea for constipation relief
Valerian Root tea: having trouble sleeping? this may help!
