Senior, Aaliyah Blakely, the star basketball player for the Ada Lady Cougars signed with Oklahoma Baptist University. She signed Friday, April 11th. When she was asked how it felt to sign with a college team she said “I’m really excited to have this opportunity and to play at the next level.” Aaliyah said she chose OBU because it is a great place to live and it’s not to far from home. She would like to thank all of her friends and family who have supported her and pushed her along the way. She also added that without her coaching staff and teammates she “would not have made it.” The entire community of Ada is excited to watch Aaliyah as she plays at the next level of her career.
