This weeks play of the week goes to Gabe Simmons. During Tuesday night’s baseball game, Gabe made a tremendous double play. A tricky pop fly was hit out to Simmons in right field, and he ran forward to make phenomenal catch. The play did not end there. Gabe collected himself after making the catch, and threw the ball to first base to get the runner out. This ended the inning, and allowed the Cougars to come in after a troubling inning. Unfortunately, the Cougars went on to lose, but this play was definitely one for the books.
